Hoodies In The Summer Look Cooler Than Ever

I'm not the type of girl that bares it all or most. I enjoy wearing hoodies and baggy jeans too but what about when it's 95 degrees outside? You take what you have and make it work. I'm not very much into buying things I feel I can make so DIY project it was.

Don't get me wrong, I do love me some crop tops no doubt. But what if I want to wear a hoodie too? So I thought "I can't afford those fancy designer cropped hoodies. But I do have a pair of dollar tree scissors and an old hoodie. It's time go to Edward Scissor hands on that ass!" So I did.

Quick and easy. I just cut right across. Now the question was "What am I gonna wear this with?" I honestly didn't want to look like a highschooler or too much like a tomboy. I wanted Teyana Taylor meets Vanessa Hong.

I wanted my look to stay bright because of summer but light weight and breathable. I remembered I had these classic white pin-stripe trousers that I thrifted for about $2. Those trousers are almost paper thin but quality as well.

The breathable fabric of these pants makes it easy to stay cool during the heat of summer. Because the hoodie is cropped it allows my body to breath. So no titty sweat. Just being real.

I can still rock my hoodie, have a crop top, breathe and be stylish all at the same time.

To spice my look up I wanted to throw a pair of yellow transparent sunnies, that I got from my local beauty supply hair store, and a orange fur clutch from Urban Outfitters.

My shoes were kept white to maintain the brightness of my look without interfering with the orange.

Sometimes some people wonder why I don't show more skin and why I wear my clothes the way I do. It's a mix of just my personal style and preference along with being a Christian. My religion plays a role in how I dress but it doesn't negate me from the ability to express who I am through fashion.

"Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony." Colossians 3:14-17
